Amy E. Goodson, Esq. brings 20 years of experience in community/charter school law, representing over 70 boards of directors across the state of Ohio.
Amy is admitted to the practice of law in the states of Ohio and Florida and the Federal Northern District Court of Ohio and holds a certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution. Amy also has a background as an educator at the elementary, middle school, and college levels.
Amy received her Bachelor’s degree in elementary and gifted education at Kent State University. For several years, Amy taught middle school in Mahoning County, Ohio. After which, she earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law, where she was an editor of the Akron Law Review and a member of the Moot Court and Trial Teams.
Over the years Amy has served in a variety of volunteer roles, including as a trustee of her local Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Board of Education of the Tallmadge City Schools, and a leader in Boy Scouts of America. Amy currently serves as pro bono counsel for a local veteran’s affairs project.
Amy prides herself in providing comprehensive legal services to boards, handling complex matters with knowledge, resourcefulness, and efficiency.
